Role Overview 

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing the flow of products across Latitude’s entire business — spanning both hard goods and soft goods. This role owns demand planning, production scheduling, inventory strategy, logistics, and supply continuity, ensuring that product launches and replenishment cycles run smoothly and efficiently. 

This is a strategic, cross-functional role that partners closely with Product Development, Sourcing, Finance, and Leadership. The ideal candidate is analytical, systems-oriented, and comfortable building processes from the ground up in a fast-scaling environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

Production Planning & Scheduling 

  • Develop production schedules for both hard and soft goods 
  • Coordinate with factories to align capacity, lead times, and delivery windows 
  • Manage production risks, delays, and contingency planning 

 Inventory Strategy & Optimization 

  • Own inventory targets, safety stock levels, and replenishment strategies 
  • Monitor inventory health and drive actions to reduce stockouts and excess 
  • Support financial planning through inventory and COGS modeling 

 Logistics & Fulfillment 

  • Manage inbound freight, customs, and transportation partners 
  • Optimize cost, speed, and reliability across logistics channels 
  • Support warehouse operations and distribution planning 

 Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Work closely with the Soft Goods Sourcing & Operations Manager to integrate factory lead times, costing, and material constraints into planning 
  • Partner with Hard Goods Engineering on production readiness and supplier capacity 
  • Collaborate with Finance on forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow alignment 
  • Support Product Development with launch planning and supply continuity 
  • Partner with the FP&A team to build and maintain demand forecast across all product categories and sales channels 
  • Partner with Product and Sales to align forecasts with launch plans and market demand 

 Systems, Tools & Process Development 

  • Implement and maintain supply chain systems, dashboards, and workflows 
  • Establish SOPs for planning, scheduling, and logistics 
  • Drive continuous improvement across the supply chain 

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, or production planning 
  • Experience in consumer goods, outdoor gear, or related industries preferred 
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in forecasting and planning tools 
  • Experience managing overseas suppliers and logistics partners 
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes for both hard and soft goods 
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills 
  • Ability to build processes and systems in a fast-paced, scaling environment 
  • Passion for the outdoors and delivering exceptional customer experiences 
  • Expertise in leveraging ERP software to deliver on job requirements; experience with Microsoft Business Central preferred but willingness and ability to learn new software systems required 

Location & Work Format 

This role will be based at our headquarters in Grand Rapids, MI. The expectation is to be onsite in our office for a minimum of 3 days per week. Remote focus work for enhancing personal productivity can be leveraged 1-2 days per week when appropriate. Experienced candidates can be provided with up to 6 months of remote work before transitioning to Grand Rapids to allow for an earlier start date.
